The Venus Flytrap is a carnivorous plant which catches spiders and insects. Its leaves stay open until the prey lands on the trap, triggering tiny hairs on the inner surfaces of the leaves, which cause the trap to shut. The plant's pointed teeth lock together to make a cage, and it then secretes enzymes which digest the insects.
