Description:
A modern set or "deck" of playing cards contains 52 lightweight rectangular cards that are distinguished into four groups called suits: clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades. Each suit includes an ace, a king, queen, and jack, and number cards from two up to ten. The European pack came from France, in around 1400 AD, and the characters on the royal cards are often still shown wearing the costumes from that period. Many different games can be played with a pack of cards.
