Description:
A body system is the term used to describe parts of the body that work together and collectively fulfil a function. Humans have many different body systems - five of them are shown here. The integumentary system is made up of the skin, and protects the insides of the body; the muscular system allows us to control our movements; the skeletal system provides the body with rigidity, and helps us move around; the circulatory system provides our cells with the oxygen that they need to survive; and the nervous system allows our brain to control the rest of our body.
