Description:
Since stars are so far away from us, complicated methods must be used to calculate their distances. A common method involves taking photographs from opposite sides of the Earth's orbit, and is known as parallax. The difference between the background contents of each photo allows us to estimate how far away a star is - the less the difference, the further its distance from Earth.
